We must underscore that the ultimate Star of the show is our Beautiful Blackness, as we celebrate us. Our great and rich history has shown us that throughout time the Black man and Black woman have continually demonstrated their Godlike abilities to create something out of nothing. This is most evident in the architectural legacy left behind by the Africans that lived along the banks of the HAPI (Nile River). HAPI is the earliest known name of the principle that the Ancient Egyptians (Africans) described as the Nile River. To celebrate us means we are honoring our lineage, from our ancient history to our beautiful Black genius evident in each of us today.

Black Excellence was chosen as the theme because Blackness is a powerful force that should be recognized and celebrated. It was celebrated by our ancient ancestors who viewed Black as the color of fertility as the Nile (HAPI) inundated the land turning the soil black. This experience is to ensure we celebrate our blackness, which means our richness--our ability to cultivate wealth through creativity and culture.

The HAPI movement is the execution of ideas and concepts set forth for the development of our economic empowerment. Success is being prepared for the opportunity when it presents itself. Our primary objective is to provide the community with information and dialogue that stimulates their economic growth.

HBE & Networking Mixer: Relationship building is one of the key components of the HAPI Movement, as such the HBE will amongst other elements contain a Networking Mixer that will cultivate and promote through the HAPI Marketplace (Vendors) and array of carefully selected uplifting music. The musical interludes will be played during the beginning of the event, breaks and at the end of the HBE & Networking Mixer.
